Ropes Course and Climbing. Horseback Riding and Swimming. Canoeing and Fishing. Science and Nature. Whatever your campers’ passions, we have it here, at Red Oak Camp!
Now in our 71st year, Red Oak Camp provides Northeast Ohio’s campers the quintessential summer experience! Your children (Ages 6-15) will unplug and connect to nature at Red Barn and Chincapin, our day camps, and Red Oak, our overnight program for teens.
Though we’ve been around for a long time, there is always something new at Red Oak. Your kids love the challenge of climbing? This year, we are expanding our high ropes course and have added recreational tree climbing to challenge and improve campers’ climbing skills.
A unique opportunity offered to our older campers is the Red Oak Resident Session. We offer two sessions, one for boys and one for girls. During this 14-day experience the campers will focus on skills such as outdoor cooking, rock climbing, how to pack for a multi-day backpacking trip and much more.
These skills will be learned in camp, on short day trips rock climbing or an overnight backpacking trip in the Holden Arboretum. Then the experience will culminate with a multi-day wilderness adventure. This is the ultimate camp experience!
Here at Red Oak, we have the activities that excite, delight, and inspire! We have camp sessions beginning June 11 for children ages 6 through 15. We are located in Kirtland; a stone’s throw from Cleveland. With transportation offered from Pepper Pike, Red Oak Camp is the perfect choice for your campers this summer. Red Oak Camp’s mission is to develop campers’ inner strengths through outdoor exploration and adventure. Our camps offer activities designed to build confidence and develop independent thinking skills. Since 1947, we’ve been using experiential learning to help campers of today become leaders of tomorrow, all while building lifelong friendships and memories.
