Ropes Course and Climbing. Horseback Riding and Swimming. Canoeing and Fishing. Science and Nature. Whatever your campers’ passions, we have it here, at Red Oak Camp!
Now in our 70th year, Red Oak Camp gives Northeast Ohio’s campers the quintessential summer experience! Your kids will unplug and connect to nature at Red Barn and Chincapin, our day camps, and through our Red Oak overnight program for teens.
Though we’ve been around for a long time, there is always something new at Red Oak. This year, we’ve relocated our beloved Chincapin girls’ riding program to upgraded facilities at Tannerwood Farms. Our horses moved in September and are thriving in their new home. Work has begun on a new Chincapin outpost at Red Oak Camp –a place for the girls to call their own on our sprawling wooded campus, just a mile or two down the road from the stable.
Your kids love the challenge of climbing? We’ve upgraded our ropes course and added new elements for summer 2017. This summer brings a nature and science program in collaboration with Holden Forest and Gardens; plus, additional opportunities for boys to horseback ride.
Teens have a place at Red Oak too. Our overnight programs, one for boys and one for girls, are the perfect balance between summer fun and learning critical leadership skills. Teens have all of the traditional bonding opportunities of overnight camp, in a supportive place where they’ll develop lasting friendships and memories.
Here at Red Oak, we have the activities that excite, delight, and inspire! We have camp sessions beginning June 12 for children ages 6 through 15. We are located on 87 beautiful acres in Kirtland, a stone’s throw from Cleveland. With transportation offered from Pepper Pike, Red Oak Camp is the perfect choice for your campers this summer.
Red Oak Camp’s mission is to develop campers’ character through outdoor exploration, education ,and adventure. Our camps offer activities designed to build confidence and develop independent thinking skills. Since 1947, we’ve been using experiential learning to help campers of today become leaders of tomorrow, all while building lifelong friendships and memories.
