A few weeks ago the kids and I went to Dogwood Pool and Sprayground. I was very impressed with the facility and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The large main pool consists of a shallow end that is 3 feet deep, the middle area is 5 feet deep and has 50 yard lap lines, and the back end of the pool includes two slides and diving boards. According to the North Canton website, there is 15,000 square feet of water surface.
The area at the bottom of the dual slides is roped off to prevent children from sliding into swimmers. And there is a lifeguard stationed at the slides to let children know when it is safe to go down.
The diving area is toward the back of the pool and consists of a 4 foot slide and a 12 foot slide.
The spray park area is designed for children 8 and under and features a variety of interactive water features including buckets that dump water, spray fountains, water arches, a palm tree, and fire hydrant.
Children were tossing balls into the dumping buckets and then waiting for them to spill out with the water.
I liked how the sprayground area is far enough from the pool and partially enclosed. This is nice because parents don't have to worry about a child wandering over to the pool and falling in. In addition, there is a small child's playground, some green space and shaded areas near the spray park.
We had a great time at the pool and sprayground and hope to go back a couple more times this summer.

I’m always looking for new places to go, and I’d love some suggestions. What Northeast Ohio parks and playgrounds do you frequent?
