4th of July Celebrations
Even though July 4th has passed there are a number of Independence Day Celebrations being held this weekend, including festivals in Berea, Conneaut, Kent, New Philadelphia and Orrville. Fireworks in Mifflin Township, Senecaville and Kent.
FREE Canton First Friday
This month’s theme is All That Jazz. Enjoy a variety of live musical entertainment, street performers, Children's Activities from Silver Star Youth Theatre, Canton Rugby, Massillon Museum, Frontline Ministries, Noesis Center, Players Guild, Canton Palace Theatre, Habitat for Humanity, Andrew Fulmer Dance Studio and St. Joan of Arc School and much more!

FREE Star Watch & Planetarium Show
Visit The Wildreness Center this Saturday to learn about the stars and observe a planetarium show. Each month the center hosts a planetarium show. Also, if you find stars and outer space interesting, find out more about the many Astronomy Clubs and Planetariums in Northeast Ohio.

Outdoor Summer Concerts are in full swing.! Many local parks and communities offer these concerts free of charge. The concerts provide a great opportunity to enjoy music and the great outdoors. Cops 4 Kids with Autism 3rd Annual Poker Run
Cops 4 Kids with Autism is hosting their 3rd Annual Family Friendly Poker Run this Saturday. Registration starts at 9:00am and all bikes leave at 11:00am. This is a police escorted/parade style run, and motorcycles and all motor vehicles are permitted to participate. 20% of all proceeds from this run will be donated to the Children of the Fallen Scholarship fund. This year we will feature Thea Miktarian, daughter of fallen Twinsburg Officer Josh Miktarian.

FREE Shirts to Dye For at Firestone Park
Visit Firestone Park this Saturday to learn about natural dyes from plants in our area with Naturalist Sarah Putnam, and then tie-dye your own t-shirt. Please bring a plain T-shirt and wear clothes that can get stained.

FREE Summit Towpath 2012 Celebration
This Saturday, Summit County is celebrating the completion of the towpath trail. You can now ride/walk completely across the county on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. The county-wide celebration includes many family friendly events.
