A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to head up to Progressive Field to cheer on the Tribe. We had a great time and the kids loved their first experience watching a professional baseball game.
We picked a great night to attend because Dollar Dogs were on the menu. Gotta love it when you can treat the family to food at a game without breaking the budget.
And while the kids did enjoy watching the game, we spent a good amount of time at the Indians Kids Clubhouse. The Kids Clubhouse located on the mezzanine level of Progressive field and once in the game, entry is FREE.
The clubhouse consists of two sections.
The Rookie Suite section is geared toward young children (6 and under) and is a huge room (about three times the size of the picture above) that is filled with play equipment, a climbing wall and a section for arts & crafts.
And parents don't have to worry about missing the game as there are large flat screen TVs located throughout the playarea. Plus the left wall of the suite is full windows which overlook the first base side of the outfield.
The Sluggers Sandlot section is designed for children 7 and up and consists of a wiffle ball field (shown above), batting cages, speed pitch, video games and a fun photo booth.
At various times throughout the games, the Indians Mascots make appearances in the Kids Clubhouse. Ketchup and Mustard and celebrating a base hit in the picture above.
And to top off an Indians victory we got to watch Fireworks after the game.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at the game and really appreciated the activities they have for kids at Progressive Field.
Disclosure: We received tickets to the game as part of the Cleveland Indians Family Social Suite program. Anyone can apply to attend a game at the Family Social Suite or the Social Suite.
