LEGO® Display at Beachwood Place

Last Updated: 6/24/2016

LEGO Display at Beachwood Mall

Calling all LEGO maniacs! You'll definitely want to check out the LEGO® Americana Roadshow display at Beachwood Place this month. Throughout the mall there are 10 different huge LEGO displays of various national landmarks (Statue of Liberty, Capitol Building, White House, Liberty Bell and more!).

Plus, there is an interactive LEGO building area where kids (and adults!) can build and race LEGO cars.

Below are pictures and details about the display. Enjoy!

Huge LEGO Capitol Building

The LEGO models are located throughout the mall. Next to each display there is a sign with fun facts about the landmark, details on the size and amount of LEGO bricks in the display and how long it took to build.

The Capital Building was by far the largest display. It was HUGE! Over 25 feet wide and 10 feet tall. It took 8 people over 1,700 hours to complete it!

Helpful Tip: There is a box next to the display where you can submit your guess on how many bricks it took to build the display. The winner will receive a nice gift certificate.

The Washington Monument LEGO replica was nearly two stories tall!

While the shear size of the displays was amazing, the intricate details were impressive as well. Pictured above is a statue on the front steps of the Supreme Court building.

And you could even get a glimpse of Abraham Lincoln sitting inside the Lincoln Memorial.

In addition to the LEGO models there is also a LEGO play area located at one end of the shopping center. There were many different play tables set up with LEGO bricks of all shapes and sizes (including Duplo Blocks for little kids).

Visitors could build models or LEGO cars to race down the track. They also had plenty of comfortable seats for the parents to relax while the kids played.

Life Size Liberty Bell made out of LEGOs

The ten LEGO displays included: U.S. Capitol Building, White House, Liberty Bell, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Supreme Court, Independence Hall and Old North Church.

And there were also a handful of other smaller displays in cases on the second floor near the stairs.
