When we saw that they were opening a new LEGO Castle Adventure exhibit, we knew it was time to plan our trip. After all, we have two little LEGO maniacs in our house.
COSI’s NEW Lego Castle Adventure Exhibit
As soon as we got to the center, we headed straight for the LEGO Castle.
We enjoyed the giant LEGO models which included a knight with shield and sword, an eight foot tall knight on horseback, a mother with a baby dragon, and various crowns, jewels and more located throughout the castle.
In addition to the pre-built models, children (and adults!) can get into the action at one of the many building tables. Each table had multiple buckets full of different shapes and sizes of LEGOs and a large building surface.
The exhibit also contained LEGO replicas of real-word castles, dress-up costumes, and a jousting area. LEGO Castle Adventure is included with COSI Admission or Membership and is open through January 6th, 2013.
COSI's Three Floors of Fun
There is so much to discover and do at COSI, we easily spent two hours exploring the three floors of fun. Some of our favorite exhibits and demonstrations included the heartbeat drum, hot air balloon races, oceans water play area, watching the riders conquer the 2 story unicycle, playing with a cloud in the weather station and all the hand's on fun in the Gadgets area.
And we learned a lot in the process! A visit to COSI is a great way to make eduction fun.

COSI's Outdoor Big Science Park
We took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and played for quite some time in the Outdoor Big Science Park. The kids enjoyed spinning the two-and-a-half-ton granite ball that appeared to be dropped onto the brick patio, chasing after the balls that were shot into the sky and placing them into the vacuum tube to repeat the process, and using a pulley to lift a car into the air.

COSI's Extreme Screen Theater
There were a number of movies to choose from, including Sharks 3D, Air Racers 3D and Meekats 3D. We choose Sharks 3D and enjoyed the underwater adventure where we learned about various sharks, fish, sea lions and sea turtles. The show was approximately 45 minutes and held the attention of both of our kids.
And because it was the first time we've seen a 3D movie, watching the kids try to “catch” the fish made the experience even more fun.
There is an additional charge for viewing a movie in COSI Extreme Screen Theater.
Overall we had a fabulous visit and highly recommend visiting COSI!
