Turning snow into a dessert is rather fascinating for kids. So much so, that my kids request it after every snowfall…even if we've only had a light dusting. It's a very simple recipe, so you probably already have the ingredients on hand.
Ingredients Needed:
- 2 large bowlfuls of fresh snow
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
Directions:
Mix milk, vanilla and sugar together. Pour mixture over 4-6 cups of snow and stir to combine. Continue to add more snow until you reach the consistency is that of vanilla ice cream. We typically use 8-10 cups of snow. Eat immediately; do not try to freeze or refrigerate.
Snow Ice Cream is something that my mom used to make when we were little and the taste brings back so many memories. I enjoy the treat now almost as much as I did when I was a child.
Enjoy!

Just tried this tonight and it was so good and it really did end up looking like vanilla ice cream. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it. We made a batch as well. Such a fun way to enjoy the snow!
