Did you know that thousands of local families and children struggle with hunger on a regular basis?
Until I volunteered at our local foodbanks I had no idea that hunger was such a huge issue so close to home.
Thankfully, there are many ways that we can help provide food for those in need. One way to do so, is to participate in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
It's easy to participate in the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
- Step 1 – Gather a bag (or two) of non-perishable foods (i.e canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice, peanut butter, cereal etc.)
- Step 2 – Place the bags next to your mailbox before the mail is picked up on Saturday, May 9, 2015
- Step 3 – Your mail carrier will then collect the donations and deliver them to local foodbanks to be distributed to area families in need.
