Check out these fun ideas to keep you busy this week!
Fun Ways to Cool off this Week
They are predicting another HOT week. Why not take the kiddos out to visit an area Sprayground. They are so fun and many are FREE. Sounds like a great way to spend the day to me. Check out our list of Northeast Ohio Spraygrounds, Splash Pads, and Wading Pools. If you're planning to head to the Barberton Edgewood Park Sprayground read about our experience here.
Fun Family Outing for the Week
It's no secret that we love the Akron Zoo. Check out our Top Ten Reasons to Visit the Akron Zoo to find out why. If you've never been or haven't visited in a while, you should check it out. Make sure to visit the new Journey to The Reef exhibit that opened this year. The zoo is located at 500 Edgewood Ave. Akron, Ohio 44313, and is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
Fun FREE Place to Go this Week
Take the family out to check out an antique car show. Every Monday night between May through September, Cuyahoga Falls host a Riverfront Cruise In. The theme this week is Cars of the 50's and is being held on Monday, July 23 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm at Riverfront Mall – 2200 Front St Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
The event is very close to the FREE Interactive Fountains in Cuyahoga Falls, so you may want to bring some swim suits for the kids!
Fun Recipe to Try
Watermelon is such a great summertime fruit. It's juicy and cool and a perfect treat for a hot day. While the kids and I typically enjoy the fruit as is, I found a few recipes for watermelon popsicles. We're going to try at least one of these this week.
- Frozen Watermelon: The Easiest Popsicle Ever – Extremely simple!
- Watermelon Frozen Yogurt Popsicles – I love the idea of adding yogurt, and I know my daughter would LOVE the pink color.
- Watermelon Cucumber Popsicles – Very interesting way to use up all the cucumbers we have in our garden this year
