My son likes anything that has four wheels. Cars, trucks, diggers, tractors, you name it. Last year we used sidewalk chalk to draw roads on our driveway for him and his sister to drive their cars on. What once started as simple roads has now turned into an entire city.
My children enjoy creating the cities, and requesting new and unique things for me to draw. Once the artwork is complete they drive cars and trucks on the roads and pretend to go to each of the locations.
A farm house, barn and silos.
Houses for each family member.
A lake with boats and a dock.
A grocery store.
And last but not least, a gas station.
In addition to the items pictured above, our cites have also included:
- Construction Sites
- Stop signs, traffic lights, railroad crossings. The options are endless.
The kids and I really enjoy creating the sidewalk cities. I am amazed at their creativity and how many different and unique things they ask me to draw. Once the drawing is complete, they love pretending to drive around the town.
Do your children like to use sidewalk chalk? If so, what do they typically draw?
