Enjoy this annual event at Lakeview Park. The July 4th Parade steps off at 6pm on Saturday, July 1, and the fireworks display will take place at 10pm on Monday, July 3 over Lake Erie.

Columbiana – July 4th Community Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day from the deck of the Steamship William G. Mather and watch Cleveland’s fireworks. Food and drinks can be purchased at the adjacent family-friendly beer garden. Guests bring chairs and blankets to sit.

Cleveland – Star Spangled Science at the Great Lakes Science Center
Have a blast and celebrate the holiday weekend with themed activities and demonstrations, including Red, White and Boom Science Spectacula; Watermelon Explosion; Alka-Seltzer Rockets; BASF Kids’ Lab: Rainbow Connection; ight-up Duck® Tape Wearable; and Build It Bonanza: Holiday Edition.

Cleveland – Fun Before 4 on July 4th at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium
Looking for something to do on the Fourth of July before the backyard barbecue? The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is open with free parking until 4pm. Included is a starfish kids’ craft and a red-white-and-blue scavenger hunt for families to enjoy.

Cost: The Aquarium will also provide free entry for active military and first responders (police, fire and EMT) with the presentation of appropriate ID*. Fairview Park – Summerfest
Summerfest is an annual weekend festival that invites members of the Fairview Park community and surrounding communities to gather for a car show, entertainment, arts and crafts, parade, fireworks, and more.

Lakewood – Lakewood Fourth of July Parade, Concert, & Celebration
The parade is scheduled to step off at 10am on Lake Ave. at Kenneth Dr., and concludes at Lakewood Park. After the parade, festivities will continue in Lakewood Park with games, food, activities and information provided by several of Lakewood’s community organizations. The Lakewood Project, Lakewood High School’s Youth Rock Orchestra, will perform at 7:00 PM at the bandstand at Lakewood Park as part of the Fourth of July celebration. After the parade, festivities will continue in Lakewood Park with games, food, activities and information provided by several of Lakewood’s community organizations. At 7pm, The Lakewood Project, Lakewood High School’s Youth Rock Orchestra, will perform at the Bandstand at Lakewood Park. The Fourth of July will conclude with Lakewood’s annual fireworks extravaganza at approximately 9:45pm.

Mayfield Village – Independence Day Celebration
New this year, an entertaining band will be featured at Parkview Pool from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Then join friends and neighbors at The Grove at 6pm for an evening full of music. A variety of concession providers will also be on-site. Fireworks will be shot off at the end of town at Parkview soccer fields at dusk.

Middleburg Heights – Summer in the City Festival
Kids FunZone, midway games and rides, live entertainment, and more. Parade steps off at 6:30pm on Friday, June 24. Watch fireworks at 10pm on Saturday, June 25. All concerts are free and open to the public.

North Olmsted – 2017 BOOM!

Westlake – 4th of July Celebration at the Pool

Auburn – July 4th Picnic & Parade
The parade kicks off from the Meadows subdivision (off Auburn Road) and travels south to Washington Street and east to the Fire Station. There the Fire Devils will be cooking up hot dogs and serving beverages for the annual community picnic.

Bainbridge – Bainbridge Township 4th of July Event & Bicentennial
Activities include live music, bounce houses, food, face painters, balloon sculpting, and safety & service vehicle demonstration. Fireworks at dusk.

Chardon – Old Glory Day
Decorations are provided for the children to decorate their bikes, scooters or wagons, followed by a children’s parade around the Square lead by The Chardon Fire Department. After the parade, take part in an afternoon of games, music, face painting, balloon animals, and a pie eating contest. The Rotary will provide ice cream, the Kiwanis will have balloons for the bikes, and Wal-Mart is providing water. Popcorn and hot dogs are available for sale by the Chardon Square Association.

Boardman – FREE Independence Day Concert & Fireworks Display
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of patriotic music performed by the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast. Music begins at 8pm followed by a spectacular fire works display. Concessions available. In the event of rain the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast will perform at the Boardman Performing Arts Center in Boardman High School.

Canfield – 4th of July Community Events
The annual Kids' Run and Firecracker 4 Mile Fun Run begins at 7:30am at Township Hall. Join the fun at the 52nd Annual Independence Day Parade, featuring antique cars, marching bands, clowns, and patriotic floats; the parade steps off at 10:10am and circles the green. After the parade, North Green is overflowing with games and inflatables for the kids. A big red barn houses a special petting zoo, and there are prizes for everyone.

Where: Firecracker Run takes place at Township Hall. The parade leaves the Fairgrounds at 10:10am and circles the Green.

Poland – Celebrate Poland
Celebrate Poland provides a family-friendly celebration with fireworks, craft show, Poland Idol singing contest, food vendors, parade, Chalk It Up sidewalk art, and many other events for the whole family.

Brunswick – Summer Celebration: Bands, Bites & Booms!

Wadsworth – Blue Tip Festival
The Blue Tip Festival is a five day celebration of the Wadsworth, Ohio community. It starts with a world class parade and the lighting of a giant, 20-foot blue tip match which lights downtown Wadsworth during the festival's duration. The festival then offers attendants their choice of amusement rides, festival foods, midway games, contests, and other entertainment. Wednesday, June 21 is Community Day; enjoy a free Kids Zone, festival matinee featuring special unlimited ride pricing, and festival activities.

Aurora – July 4th Festivities
The 1-mile & 5K Fun Run will kick-off the day at 8am, followed by the parade at 11am. Join the fun at the festival in Kiwanis-Moore Park (12pm-3pm) featuring fun events for the whole family, including Jungle Terry, bounce house, frog jumping contest, games, carnival food, and food trucks. Fireworks will take place at dusk (approximately 9:45pm).
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2017; 8am-10pm
Where: Parade steps off from Barrington Town Square and travels to Kiwanis Moore Park. Festival takes place in Kiwanis Moore Park. Fireworks will be at the West Pioneer Trail – baseball fields.

Kent – Kent Heritage Festival with Fireworks
Enjoy craft and food vendors, entertainment, car show, ducks over the falls, live music, fireworks, 5K run, children's play area, and more. Fireworks will take place at dusk.

Akron – Rib, White, & Blue Festival – Akron's National Rib Festival
Northeast Ohio’s largest 4th of July rib festival, as rib vendors from all over the United States compete for cash prizes & bragging rights. For decades, Akron has celebrated Independence Day with food, fireworks, and music. A fireworks display will take place at 9:45pm on Tuesday, July 4 following a performance of The Akron Symphony Orchestra, beginning at 8pm. FREE admission all 4 days.

Cleveland – Blossom Music Festival: A Salute to America

Green – Freedom Fest
Friday evening kicks-off FreedomFest with entertainment, family activities, beer garden, and food. On Saturday, enjoy family fun activities, including inflatables, simulators, food, tethered hot air balloon rides ($5/ride; children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent), entertainment, skydivers (8:15pm, weather permitting), beer garden, and more. The day ends with fireworks at approx. 10:15 pm.

Join Fort Laurens Museum for a ceremony honoring the sacrifices of the soldiers stationed at the Fort. The ceremony will take place at the Tomb of the Unknown Patriot, and will include a guest speaker, a color guard, honor guard, and a wreath laying.

Cost: This ceremony is free and open to the public.

Bolivar – Revolution on the Tuscarawas: Revolutionary War Encampment and Reenactment
Explore British and Continental camps, meet soldiers from both sides of the conflict, learn about colonial American life, and more! Kids can enjoy musket drills, colonial American games, and crafts throughout the event. Tours of Fort Laurens Museum and grounds will run both days. To close out both days, watch a mock battle for American Independence.
When: Saturday, July 8, 2017 (10am-5pm) & Sunday, July 9, 2017 (10am-4pm)

Cost: $10 per adult, $5 per child age 12 and under

Bolivar – Fort Laurens Centennial Community Celebration
Commemorate 100 years of Fort Laurens as a state memorial with this community celebration! Throughout the day, enjoy tours of the museum and grounds, speakers in the auditorium, nature and history walks along the towpath and much more. Families are welcome to participate in canal boat races, colonial kids games and crafts, as well as a Dressed for Battle timeline where visitors can interact with soldiers from American conflicts from the Revolutionary War through World War 1.
When: Saturday, August 12, 2017; 10am-5pm

Cost: $5 per adult, FREE for children age 15 and under, FREE for Jog for Logs participants

Mineral City – 4th of July Fireworks at Atwood Lake Park
Atwood Lake Park will celebrate Independence Day with a fabulous fireworks show.
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2017; 10pm
Where: Atwood Lake Park, 9500 Lakeview Rd. NE, Mineral City, OH 44656
Cost: Vehicle parking fee applies.

New Philadelphia – 40th Annual First Town Days Festival
Kids’ Activities, games, rides, tournaments, talent show, live entertainment, and more. The Grand Parade will step off at 6:30pm on Friday, June 30. Enjoy the gigantic fireworks display at 10pm on Saturday, July 1. July 4th is “Family Day” featuring a fishing derby, frog jumping, turtle races, and big wheel races; children and adults alike share in the activities such as the “parent-child sack races” and the “parent-child hoop shoot.”
When: June 30-July 4, 2017; Schedule varies daily
Where: The parade will travel south on 3rd St. NW to W. High Ave., then east to the Square where awards will be presented, then north on N. Broadway to Tuscora Park, home of the First Town Days Festival.

4th of July Events in Wayne County

Fredericksburg – Fredericksburg Independence Day Parade
“Wayne County's Biggest Small Town Parade.” Ball games and food concessions follow the parade at the ball diamond.
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2017; 11am
Where: Parade will step off from the intersection of Fredericksburg Rd. and Graber Rd.

Orrville – Orrville Firefighters Independence Day Celebration
The parade will step off at 4pm on July 4 from North Ella St. Enjoy the Carnival from July 4-8. A fireworks display will be held at 10:15pm on Saturday, July 8.

Wooster – Ohio Light Opera Community Pops Concert
Celebrate a glorious 4th with the annual Community Pops Concert, presented by Main Street Wooster and the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra & Chorus. Bring a chair, watch the concert and still have plenty of time to see fireworks at the Kinney Fields. Rain location: McGaw Chapel
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2017; 7pm-8pm
Where: Downtown Wooster, OH 44691

Wooster – Wooster Community Fireworks
Entertainment and concessions will be available at the soccer complex. Kinney Property activities will begin at 5pm, followed by fireworks at 10pm.
When: Tuesday, July 4, 2017; 5pm-10:15pm
Where: North of the Kinney Building on Burbank Rd. between Highland and Oldman Rd., Wooster, OH 44691
