Cuyahoga Valley National Park boasts more than 33,000 acres of scenic outdoors right here in our corner of Northeast Ohio. We are continuously seeking out new spots to explore in the park, and we are never disappointed. The cascading water at the 65-foot Brandywine Falls is something you do not want to miss!
Visiting Brandywine Falls with Kids
The parking lot at Brandywine Falls offers plenty of space to park and unpack items. There are bathrooms and park maps at the entrance of the paths. One of the best parts of this particular falls is its proximity to the parking lot. A boardwalk allows strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons the ability to access the falls as well.
It’s just a short walk to the upper observation deck, which provides a birds-eye view of the falls. For those hoping for a lower look, there are stairs leading down to a lower observation deck.
We were able to park our stroller and carry our son down to the lower area. You’ll want to be careful with smaller children as you walk down the steps since the drop-off is severe. The lower deck offers a gorgeous view of the rushing water, and there is plenty of space for multiple families to take photos.
Brandywine Falls is one of the most visited sites in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and after visiting ourselves it is clear to see why. The easy accessibility, great viewing areas, and breathtaking natural falls make this trip perfect for the entire family. We will be heading back again throughout the year to witness the falls for each seasonal splendor.
