Is there a designated date that you must go to the zoo? If not, how long are the tickets good for and are there any restrictions?
Elaine,
Each of the communities in Summit County have different weeks where they can get in free. The tickets are good for anytime that week. If you still have questions, I’d call the Akron Zoo at (330) 375-2550 ext. 7249.
I hope that helps!

What form of id, do I need to verify my residence. My drivers license is still in a different town. Maybe a bill of some sort?
Debbie,
I’d call the zoo to find out what you need. Here is their number: (330) 375-2550 ext. 7249.
I hope that helps!
Danielle
Why is the city of Akron last to be free?
I’m not sure how they pick the dates. The good news is that you have a week were you can go for free. If you have any additional questions about Community Days please call the Akron Zoo at (330) 375-2550 ext. 7249.
Thanks,
Danielle

The link doesn’t tell you where you can get them. It just takes you to the page listing all this same information. Can you tell me where the designated locations are?
Sorry about that. I’m not sure where the locations are. You should be able to find out by calling the Akron Zoo at (330) 375-2550 ext. 7249.
I hope that helps!
Danielle
I called the phone number posted for the zoo and spoke to Donna who was super friendly and she told me I could pick up tickets from the zoo or from the city hall in my town. Each town may have its own designated place to pick up tickets, so I think it’s best to call the zoo to be sure.
I want tickets. Please
Thank You Danielle! I just moved to Sagamore Hills, Ohio and did not know that the Akron Zoo did a “free day” for Summit county residents.
Hi Donna –
You are very welcome. Enjoy the zoo!
Danielle
Are you able to mail the free tickets or do we need to pick them up?
Cheryl,
The zoo doesn’t mail them. You have to either pick them up at the zoo itself or at the handful of designated locations in Akron.
Danielle
How do I get the tickets
Nathan,
You either need to pick them up at the zoo or at one of the designated locations (link in article).
Hope that helps!
Danielle
When is free day for portage co
Unfortunately, it’s only for Summit County residents this time.
