Take a Hike at O’Neil Woods Metro Park
Lace up your hiking boots and head out to enjoy crisp air and colorful scenery. Hike by the red barn and take in the river views along the Deer Run Trail at O’Neil Woods Metro Park in Akron. Part of the Summit Metro Parks this is a nice loop trail with hills, several places where you can see and access the river and a picturesque red barn that you’ll want to stop and get photos of.
Try a New Park or Playground
Head to the inclusive playground in the City of Beachwood near the aquatic center. Check out Hubbard Valley Park in Medina with a playground and paths around a large lake. Visit Water Works Park in Cuyahoga Falls a hidden gem located behind the aquatic center with walking trails, a hike and bike trail and a large playground.

Visit the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek
The Great Falls of Tinkers Creek is a stunning waterfall with many different attractions in and around it. The walking path is relatively easy and you can explore the nature around the falls. Additionally, there are remains of a saw mill and electrical power plant that used to harness the falls’ power.

Be Amazed at the Museum of Illusion
Crazy optical illusions, fun photo ops and exhibits that leave you laughing and wondering how they work. We spent about 2 hours in the museum and enjoying all the interactive elements, optical illusions and brain teaser games. Would make a fun outing for families or groups with mixed ages.
