Recently my family and I were invited to Comfort Inn Splash Harbor in Bellville Ohio.  We had an amazing experience playing and relaxing by the pool.  Our weekend trip was such a refreshing getaway and a great way to cure wintertime cabin fever!

Splash Harbor Indoor Water Park

Splash Harbor is a water park designed especially for families with children 10 and under (although I saw many older children and adults enjoying themselves as well).  There is a spacious kiddie pool, splash pad, water slide, water basketball hoops and two hot tubs (one for adults and one for families).

I greatly appreciated that the water depth in the pool is no more than 4 feet.  That meant my kids could touch the bottom and didn’t need much assistance getting around.  It’s so much more relaxing when you know your child won’t accidentally jump off the side into the deep end.

The shallower depth of the pool also made it possible for my kids to slide down the water slide unassisted.  This was a HUGE deal for them.  They probably went down the slide 100 times (or 1 million times according to my son!) and were laughing and giggling each trip down.

Another fun spot was the poolside basketball hoops.  We all had fun shooting hoops from the water.  The kids even made a few baskets while jumping from the edge of the pool into the water!

The splash pad area has dumping buckets, various spouts spraying out water, and a partial pirate ship.  In addition to the spacious kiddie pool, this area provides a great place for younger children and toddlers to play because there is no standing water.

They also have two hot tubs to relax in. The adult hot tub is a little larger with hot hot water, and the family tub is conveniently located next to the kiddie pool and has a nice mild temperature water that kids will enjoy.

As you can tell Splash Harbor Indoor Water Park has a lot to offer!

Hotel Accommodations at Comfort Inn Splash Harbor

While there we stayed in a nice and well-kept room with two queen beds.  The room also had a nice desk, chair, and a small refrigerator.  It was the perfect size for our family.  If you need more room, you can request one of their adjoining rooms which a perfect for larger families.

In addition to the comfortable rooms, the hotel also provides a FREE continental breakfast complete with sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, fresh fruit, make-your-own waffles, and an assortment of pastries and beverages.
