See Spring Flowers in Bloom
Tulips and Daffodils and Daisies, Oh My! Spring in Northeast Ohio is bursting with color that you don’t want to miss. Plan a trip to see the Cherry Blossoms at Wade Oval, head to Lake View Cemetery’s Daffodil Hill to find find 100,000 daffodils covering the three-acre hill, take a short one mile hike on Daffodil Trail at Furnace Run Metro Park or head to one of the AMAZING botanical gardens in Northeast Ohio.
Celebrate Earth Day
Each year Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd. Plant a tree, go on a family hike or bike, try a sustainability STEM project and read books about the planet. Check out our picks for the top Earth Day Activities for even more ideas and area earth day events.
Try a new park or playground
This month you can finally visit the park without your winter gear in tow! Teach the kids to play pickleball or tennis at Christmas Run Park in Wooster. Enjoy a picnic and the two playgrounds at Cascade Park in Hudson. Hike the trail at the Jackson Bog State Nature Preserve. Spend an afternoon at Lakewood Park playing and taking in the beautiful views and Cleveland skyline.

Visit McKinley Museum
The museum is very well done and offers so many unique exhibits that appeal to all ages. You’ll enjoy the fully constructed Wooly Mammoth skeleton that was found in Ohio, the hands on activities in the discovery center, the planetarium and the street of shops replica of an historic town. Be sure to check out their website to find out if there are any special events taking place the day you plan to visit.

Shop at Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom
Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom is a very unique toy store that brings us all back to our childhood. They sell many limited edition, discontinued, and older toys for both collectors and toy enthusiasts. In the Jackson Township location, they have a huge Lego display. It’s a replica of a city with skyscrapers, cars, traffic lights, restaurants and even a Cleveland script sign.

Sign the kids up for a Home Depot Kids Workshop
Check out your local Home Depot to see if they offer a kids workshop. At the kids workshop, your children will have the opportunity to build the monthly project under the supervision of Home Depot employees. Each child receives a home depot apron, certificate and pin for completing the project. The kids workshop happens once a month, so if you missed this month, mark your calendars for the next event.

Hike to Great Falls of Tinkers Creek in Viaduct Park
Spring rain means local waterfalls will be flowing nicely! Not only is the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek a breathtaking waterfall, there is a short tunnel you can walk through (you’ll have to duck) for a one of a kind waterfall viewing experience.
Play Putt Putt at Alien Vacation Mini Golf
