In addition, we've got some great ideas to get you outside to enjoy some fresh air, sunshine and the beauty of nature!

Earth Day Activities in Northeast Ohio

See Spring Flowers in Bloom

Cherry blossoms, daffodils, tulips and more! Taking a stroll among the flowers is a great way to appreciate the beauty of creation. Find 100,000 daffodils covering the three-acre hill in the heart of Lake View Cemetery. Enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom trees that line Wade Lagoon. Hike the one mile Daffodil Trail at Furnace Run Metropark and discover the the 40,000 daffodils that line the trail. Visit one of the 13 beautiful Botanical Gardens found in Northeast Ohio.

Hike to a Waterfall

Nothing says the great outdoors like the sounds of a rushing waterfall! We are fortunate to have many Waterfalls in Ohio that are easy to get to. Use our guide to find one near you or plan a road trip to explore one a little farther from home.

We are so fortunate to have some amazing playgrounds. Kids can enjoy the playground, fields and hiking trails. We always recommend for adults to join in on the fun (at least for a little while!). Then you can relax on a nearby bench in the shade while the kids run, walk, jump and let their imaginations run wild.

Our local library systems are a great resource for Earth Day activities, environmental education, and events. They offer everything from recycled and upcycled craft opportunities to conservation education and special environmental speakers, to exploring nature through music, poetry, and stories.
