Spring Break is almost here, if you are looking for some fun ways to spend the week, we have some great suggestions for you. We got you covered with ideas on things to do during spring break including indoor activities, outdoor adventures and road trip suggestions.

 Indoor Fun Options

Ninja Course at Urban Air Adventure Park

Think inflatables, arcades, trampolines and more. There are a HUGE variety of Indoor Playground in Northeast Ohio and many offer weekly events and special play times for toddlers through elementary school kids.

There are also many unique, educational and fun museums in Ohio. We recently visited the Great Lakes Science Center and had a blast with the hands on interactive science activities. And a trip to see the historic planes at MAPS Air Museum is a great choice as well.

Test your problem solving abilities at a escape room! There are many great local options to choose from, including Perplexity Games in Cleveland. They are running a special Spring Break Promotion during the month of April for $20 off for all bookings with 4 people or more. 

Get in FREE to the Akron Art Museum on Thursdays, visit the Cleveland Art Museum which is FREE everyday of the week or head to the Canton Art Museum on Thursdays for FREE admission as well.

Make a trip to your local library, let your kids pick up some fun books or even attend one of the library programs. If you are near Avon Lake you can visit the newly renovated Avon Lake DiscoveryWorks activity area. There is one area designed for infants through age 7, and another Tweens area for age 8 and older.

There are a variety of ninja warrior gyms right here in Northeast Ohio. The unique gyms have special ninja equipment and obstacle courses that both adults and kids can try. Some even offer ninja classes and training programs so you can improve your strength and agility.

Take a Tour of Harry London’s Chocolate factory. Note: Reservations are required and they fill up fast when schools are out so call now to reserve your spot. Get all the details on this tour and other factory tours in Ohio.

Make a day trip or plan an overnight stay at a nearby indoor water park. 

Attend a kid friendly performance at one of our local theaters.

Take the family Bowling. Duck pin bowling is a great option for all ages. Of course regular alleys are great too. Remember to call ahead to confirm open bowling time and to check if they have bumpers lanes if you need them.

Head to the local roller rink and go roller skating!

Outdoor Fun Options

Head to the Holden Arboretum and check out the Tower and Canopy Walkway. The tower provides a beautiful view and the canopy walk is so unique and fun. There are also beautiful flower, trails and a kids natural play area.

Get outside and enjoy the many playgrounds across Northeast Ohio .  Let the kids run and play on the playgrounds, take a hike along the trails or bring along a Frisbee or ball and have a game of catch.

Check out the animals at one of these petting zoos in Ohio. Majestic Meadows in Medina is one of our favorites and Hershberger’s Farm in Amish country is another great option. You can also get to the Cleveland or Akron Zoo or one of the other Zoos in Ohio.

Or let the kids ride their bike around mini cities at safety village in Stow, safety town at Liberty playground in Independence, or Kiddy City Wooster. Note: The Wooster location is only open select hours so please call ahead if you plan to visit.

A ride along the Towpath Trail is another great option. There are many trail heads where you can start your ride.

Enjoy nature at Wingfoot Park. The park has it all, a large playground, paved trail, story walk path, nature center kayaking and more. If you’re lucky you’ll get to see the Goodyear Blimp land and take off from the hanger across the lake.

Visit the Secrest Arboretum and slide down the HUGE slide built into the side of the hill.

Head to one (or more) of the amazing waterfalls in Ohio. Some of our favorites include Columbia Beach Falls that empties into Lake Erie, Henry Church Rock Falls in the South Chagrin Reservation, Brandywine Falls in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek in Viaduct Park.
